The idea
Every other tool hands you a floor plan and a hundred name circles to drag around. Seated does the opposite: you describe the rules; it produces the arrangement.
Copy names from Notes or a spreadsheet. Seated understands shorthand like “Jane & John”, “Dave +1”, and “The Nolans (4)”.
Must sit together. Must not share a table. That is the whole vocabulary — simple enough to defend to your mother-in-law.
If a plan cannot honour every constraint, Seated names the problem and leaves people unseated rather than fudging the arrangement.
Building the list, setting tables, writing rules and reading the plan on your phone are free. The three printable documents — table plan, find-your-table sheet, and place cards — are a single payment. Not a subscription.

A seating chart is a map of a family. Seated has no account, no sign-up and no analytics of your guest data. Plans live in local storage on your phone. Purchases go through Apple.
